COVID-19 UPDATES FOR COUNTY OFFICIALS

COVID-19 DAILY HEALTH UPDATE
(Information from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) current as of 1:00 p.m. Central, Monday, May 11, 2020)

  • Total people with negative results: 108,033 (+2,870)
  • Total people with positive results: 10,418 (+199)
  • Hospitalizations: 1,846 (+26) or 18%
  • Total deaths: 409 (+9)

DHS SECRETARY PALM SIGNS EMERGENCY ORDER #36, ALLOWING SOME SMALL BUSINESSES TO OPEN
Today Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm signed Emergency Order #36, which allows all standalone or strip-mall based retail stores to offer in-person shopping for up to five customers at a time while maintaining required social distancing practices. 

Additionally, the Emergency Order signed today allows drive-in theaters to operate with some restrictions. All businesses must continue to follow all safety precautions and guidelines as outlined in the Safer at Home order.

REBOUND RACINE COUNTY TASK FORCE ISSUES FINAL REPORT ON REOPENING COUNTY SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY
Racine County has issued the final report for the Rebound Racine County Task Force, which looks at how to reopen businesses and other important entities safely and efficiently in the county.

“Rebound Report 2020” highlights the findings and action steps of the task force and looks to reopen Racine County through local leadership and cross-sector collaboration.
